AAPH Membership is an annual commitment that expires on the 30th April.New Members may apply for membership at any time.
All Full Members must be registered with the Australian Register of Homeopaths (AROH).
Prior to the membership expiration date, colleagues who wish to renew their commitment to the organisation may forward the appropriate documents and fees to apply for membership to the current elected committee for the next period.
Prior to the membership expiration date, those colleagues who do not wish to renew their membership for another term, should forward a letter of resignation to the Association.
By forwarding appropriate documentation and fees, the colleague is asserting their intention to become a pro-active team member with the objective of volunteering their services and expertise to facilitate the achievement of the collective goals of the organization over the next period.
From supplied documentation, the current elected committee formally recognises that prospective members have maintained the necessary statutory requirements for ongoing membership, and duly enters their details in the records as members in the next period.
The AAPH committee cannot legally advertise colleagues as members who have not formally entered into another 12-month period of agreement by this date..
Monies accrued from application fees are used at the discretion of the current elected committee, to administer the day to day running of the organization.
The organization is not a business or a society and so does not supply services for a fee and personal profit. The organisation is a collective body of volunteers who commit their services to each other in order to achieve the organisations goals..
The elected committee then forwards appropriate duly authorised membership documentation to the member, who may then advertise themselves as members for the current period.
The Association’s Annual General Meeting is then held on the last Tuesday in May.
The AGM is a legally binding event at which general members who have renewed their commitment to the Association for another 12 months, have the opportunity to elect a committee of volunteer members to whom they entrust the administration of their association.
These elected volunteers commit their particular expertise to maintain their Association for the next 12-month period as well as liaise with the team to set the vision/direction/goals/targets for the collective organisation over the forthcoming time frame period.
Members volunteer their services/ideas/expertise to the administrative committee in order to facilitate their collective vision.
In summary, membership of the AAPH emphasises an ongoing commitment to fellow colleagues. The current 2007/2008 AAPH committee has pledged its support to the members and the collective organisation, because it values the ongoing relationship with colleagues who decide that they want to contribute to their profession.
The following Committee members were either elected at the last Annual General Meeting, or were promoted into such by resignation. This meeting was held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the Homeopathic Healing Centre, 9 Cambridge Street, Bulimba, Queensland, 4171 at 7pm.
